For founders, CEOs & operators

I go into your company. I fix what is broken. I make the place tech-centric so it can scale.

I'm Zachariah Col, a senior full-stack engineer. Simple version: you have mess and drag. I show up, own the technical side, untangle the stack, kill bottlenecks, and leave you with a business that runs on systems instead of heroics. No buzzword deck required.

I map how work really happens. I decide what should be automated or connected. I build so the company runs cleaner. Not so you get another app nobody opens.

Honest scope: I am strongest where software meets operations. CRM, internal tools, workflows, AI where it earns its keep, making your stack feel like one system. Pure hardware shop or compliance-only IT house? I will tell you I am not the guy.

I am also interviewing for the right full-time role. Company-to-company or W2, same rule: we agree in writing what ships, when, and what "done" means.

Where companies bleed

Tech isn't a strategy. It's a pile of tools.

Every team bought something different. Nothing talks. Nobody owns the map. I come in, draw how work actually flows, and make software part of one system instead of twelve logins nobody trusts.

Bottlenecks eat margin and speed

Slow handoffs, manual rework, bad data, and 'we have always done it this way.' We find what costs the most time or money. We fix that first. Then we stack the next win. No vanity rebuilds.

Leadership can't see the business in the data

If you are running on heroics and spreadsheets, you are flying blind. We tighten systems so reporting matches reality and decisions get easier. Not more dashboards for the sake of dashboards.

Who this is for

  • You are past the one-person-with-a-laptop stage: roughly mid-market scale (often about $5M to $15M revenue or equivalent complexity). Enough moving parts that chaos shows up in money and time.
  • Founder, CEO, or operator who will give technical direction real airtime. Not a side project for an assistant.
  • You already pay for software. We connect and improve before we rip anything out.

Why me

Ten-plus years shipping real products in startups and larger orgs. Not decks. I have lived ambiguity, deadlines, and "the demo is Tuesday." I also built Trabo, operations software for teams in the field: scheduling, money, comms. So I am used to software that has to work when the business is messy.

I am not here to sell a transformation you do not need. I am here to earn the next mandate by fixing what hurts. Then we make tech the spine of how you scale.

How we work together

Step 1

Truth on a call

You tell me what is broken in plain English. I tell you if I am the right person, what I would fix first, and what I would not touch yet.

Step 2

One bottleneck, shipped

We pick the constraint that hurts most. We ship something real people use. Proof beats promises.

Step 3

Then we scale the system

After the first win lands, we widen the plan: how data moves, what automates, what the team actually follows. Tech becomes how you run. Not a graveyard of logins.

If you want technology run like a product, not bolted on after the fact, send a note. Your company, rough size, and the one thing that has been broken too long. I will tell you straight if we should talk.
